چکیده

The D-Egg, an acronym for ``Dual optical sensors in Ellipsoid Glass Gen2,'' is one of the modules designed future extensions IceCube experiment at South Pole. D-Egg has elongated-sphere shape to maximize photon-sensitive effective area while maintaining a narrow diameter reduce cost and time needed drilling deployment holes glacial ice depths up 2700 meters. design utilized Upgrade, next stage project also known as IceCube-Gen2 Phase 1, where nearly half be deployed are D-Eggs. With two 8-inch high-quantum efficiency photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) per module, D-Eggs offer increased retaining successful digital module (DOM). convolution wavelength-dependent Cherenkov emission spectrum provides photodetection sensitivity that 2.8 times larger than DOMs. signal each PMTs digitized using ultra-low-power 14-bit analog-to-digital converters with sampling frequency 240 MSPS, enabling flexible event triggering, well seamless lossless recording single-photon signals multi-photons exceeding 200 photoelectrons within 10 nanoseconds. Mass production been completed, 277 out 310 produced used Upgrade. In this paper, we report des\ ign D-Eggs, single multi-photon detection performance mass-produced measured laboratory built-in data acquisition system sensor module.

IceCube PMT HV Base Development Status

B. The “New Iseg Base” employs essentially the same HV circuitry as the Old Iseg Base, however, it is distinct from the old version in that it implements a splitground configuration using an isolation amplifier, whereby two DC-isolated grounds are created: the “noisy section” consisting of the digital interface and the oscillator for HV generation and the “analog” section consisting of the cath...

Improving the IceCube sensitivity with a wavelength shifting optical module

The research presented in this paper is aimed towards investigating the feasibility of using a wavelength-shifter as sensitive surface for the detection of Cherenkov light. Thereto an experimental setup was used in conjunction with a Geant4 simulation of the setup. An extensive calibration allowed to unambiguously detect Cherenkov radiation and compare efficiencies between different measurement...

Design and production of the IceCube digital optical module

The first string of 70 in the IceCube neutrino observatory was deployed at the South Pole site in January 2005 and is now taking data. An IceCube string is composed of 60 digital optical modules (DOMs) each of which is an integrated package of a large area photomultiplier tube, high voltage unit, LED flasher calibration board, and embedded digital data acquisition system encased inside a glass ...

Module Amenability of module dual Banach algebras

In this paper we defined the concept of module amenability of Banach algebras and module connes amenability of module dual Banach algebras. Also we assert the concept of module Arens regularity that is different with [1] and investigate the relation between module amenability of Banach algebras and connes module amenability of module second dual Banach algebras. In the following we studythe...

$varphi$-CONNES MODULE AMENABILITY OF DUAL BANACH ALGEBRAS

In this paper we define $varphi$-Connes module amenability of a dual Banach algebra $mathcal{A}$ where $varphi$ is a bounded $w_{k^*}$-module homomorphism from $mathcal{A}$ to $mathcal{A}$. We are mainly concerned with the study of $varphi$-module normal virtual diagonals. We show that if $S$ is a weakly cancellative inverse semigroup with subsemigroup $E$ of idemp...
